Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in television and film, is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. She began her professional career in showbiz from a young age. Her roles included lead characters in TV dramas as young as the age of 16. She was praised for her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for more memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The other Oscar nominated film starring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra has worked in several noteworthy national and international projects. These include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French documentary about the history of Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and was also a juror at Cannes Film Festival.
